Design examinations
Accurate dimensioning and suitable materials are vital when planning safety relevant pressurized parts, plant and equipment. They are not only decisive factors in safety, availability and cost-effectiveness, but also must comply with the European Pressure Equipment Directive (PED) 97/23/EC. TÜV NORD Thailand supports its clients in the design and selection of suitable pressure equipment and confirms the fulfilment of the relevant legal requirements through certification.
It is important to set the framework for a compliant and cost-efficient solution as early as the draft design phase – but this requires time and experience. And this is also where TÜV NORD comes in: our independent experts have many years of practical experience and comprehensive knowledge of the many different safety and calculation standards that apply to pressurised plant and equipment.
We also make use of our tried-and-tested DIMy software, which offers planners, designers and independent experts unique support in the calculation, optimisation and testing of pressurised parts.
Design examination of simple pressure vessels or pressure equipment is based on the technical regulations and standards used by the manufacturer (e.g. EN 13445, EN 13480, EN 12952/19953, ASME, CODAP 2000), or on national specifications such as AD 2000.
